Sugan Tarquwangam village located on the banks of Ranbiara river consists of around 550 households. Most of the people of this locality are farmers and orchardists. The agricultural land of these people are under constant flood scare as the retaining walls built by irrigation and flood control department were damaged by the local miners. According to locals, floods washed off more than 1100 kanals of agricultural land. The flood control department made a proposal of an estimated 3 crore ₹ in 2018 but to date, no work has been done.
