Story of a Broken Bridge in Kupwara – Which Hampers the progress of Locals

Malgund hamlet of Sever Panchayat is at a distance of 25 Km’s from the District headquarters of Kupwara. This hamlet with a population of around 900 residents live on the banks of Nallah (stream) Warnow. There is only one broken wooden bridge connecting this village with the rest of the area. The bridge was built 15 years ago. The executive engineer of Roads and Buildings Kashmir is requested to get a new bridge made. According to the locals, during the previous years many people fell off the bridge into the stream and were injured.
