The High School Sarfraw, Hari ganiwan, Kangan, Ganderbal upgraded under Rashtrya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA) in 2014 with a roll of around 500 students is located on a road with no playground, no proper sanitation, no washrooms, no proper buildings. This school represents how bad the situation is there, students could been seen roaming on road and are vulnerable. Local people often use this school premises for their own agricultural activities. CC has spoken to Chief Education officer Ganderbal and visited the location and allocated funds for construction of new building but was left mid way by the contractor for the reason best known to him.

Currently all schools of Kashmir valley are closed for 3 months winter break.  During winter vacations schools are not functional and Administration can make the better use of this time period for up-gradation of school infrastructure.
